HELOCHQ is operated by Shawn Way, NMLS #1007298. Loans are offered through West Capital Lending, Inc., NMLS #1566096 ("West Capital"). This policy covers information collected on this website. Once you apply for a loan, West Capital's privacy notice under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act also applies and explains how West Capital handles your financial information.
What we collect
- What you type into calculators. Calculator figures stay in your browser. Some are saved in your browser's local storage so the tools remember them between visits; they aren't sent to us unless you send a request from that tool, which includes a summary of the figures. If you use one of our forms on the same page, the TrustedForm session record described below can also capture what you enter from then on.
- What you send in a quote request: your goal, home value, mortgage balance, amount needed, credit range, state, ZIP code, name, email and, if you give it, mobile number and your choice about calls and texts.
- Where you came from. If you arrived from a link with campaign tags or an ad click ID (such as UTM tags, gclid, fbclid or msclkid), we keep them in your browser for that visit and send them with any request you make, along with the page you were on and the page you first landed on.
- A record of your form session (TrustedForm). Our quote, callback and email forms use TrustedForm, a service of ActiveProspect, Inc. TrustedForm's script starts when you open the rate-request page, open the "Call me back" window, or click or type in one of our forms. It doesn't run on pages you only read. From that moment it records your visit to that page: what the page showed you, including the consent wording, and how you interacted with it, such as scrolling, clicks, mouse movements and what you type into the form fields, together with your IP address, browser and device details and the date and time. It produces a certificate, including a replay of the session, that documents what you saw and what you agreed to. A certificate may be created and kept even if you leave without sending the form. We do this to keep proof of consent to be contacted, as telephone-marketing laws require, and to help prevent fraud. Certificates are kept in West Capital's TrustedForm account.
- Technical information your browser sends automatically, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, kept in server logs by our web host, Cloudflare. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies. Fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser sends Google your IP address and browser details when a page loads. Videos load from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode only when you press play.
Apart from TrustedForm and the services above, this site doesn't use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels or ad networks, and we don't let advertisers track you here. If the site is behind a sign-in for review, it sets one cookie to keep you signed in.
How we use it
- To prepare and send your estimate and answer your request
- To contact you about your request by email, and by phone or text only if you agreed to that
- To help you apply for a loan, if you choose to
- To document your consent to calls and texts, and to detect fraud and fake requests
- To see which pages and campaigns bring requests, so we can improve the site
- To keep the site working and secure, and to meet legal and regulatory requirements
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only:
- with West Capital, which makes the loans, and its loan officers and staff who handle your request (requests from the Spanish pages may go to a different West Capital loan officer);
- with service providers that run this site and handle requests on our behalf, who may use it only to provide those services: Cloudflare (hosting, security and analytics), ActiveProspect (TrustedForm consent records), the lead-intake and customer-management systems that deliver your request to the loan officer and track follow-up, and email and texting providers;
- if you apply, with lenders, credit bureaus, appraisers, title and settlement companies as needed to process your loan; and
- where the law requires, or to protect rights and safety.
We don't sell or share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties for their marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and TrustedForm consent certificates as long as needed to respond, follow up and show your consent, and as long as mortgage and telemarketing record-keeping laws require, then delete or de-identify them.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to requests is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send account numbers or Social Security numbers through the quote form.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. See the SMS terms.
- Ask us to stop emailing you at any time.
- Clear your browser's site data to remove saved calculator figures and campaign tags.
- If you'd rather not have your session recorded, don't open or use the forms on this site. Call or text us instead, or ask us to delete a certificate as described below.
California residents
Notice at collection. We collect the categories of personal information listed above (identifiers such as name, email, phone and IP address; financial information you choose to share, such as home value and mortgage balance; internet activity, such as pages visited, campaign tags and the TrustedForm record of your session on a form page; and general location from your state and ZIP code) for the purposes listed under "How we use it." We don't sell or share personal information and don't collect sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics about you.
Your rights. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you may ask to know what personal information we've collected about you, to correct it, and to delete it, and you won't be treated differently for asking. Information covered by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, such as information in a loan application, is governed by that law and West Capital's privacy notice instead. To make a request, email [email protected] or call (949) 569-7019. We'll verify your identity before acting on it. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your written permission.

This site is for adults seeking home financing and isn't directed to children under 16.
